Greystone Village
Greystone Village is a 650-acre master planned community in North Raleigh. It pioneered master planning techniques to create a community of 1,156 homes and townhomes linked through a greenway system that preserved much of the Lead Mine Creek corridor and 4 ponds. Greystone envisioned and realized a concept new to the Triangle: providing a place for families to live, work and play throughout many phases of life. The project offers a variety of home lifestyles — move-up homes, apartments, full family homes, and condominiums — as well as neighborhood retail and office space. Greystone is also home to Springmoor Life Care Community, an award-winning self-contained community where adults have options for each step through the ‘autumn’ of life, from single-family homes to comprehensive nursing and Alzheimer’s care. Greystone kicked off in 1976 and finished most new construction by 1989.
NorthChase
NorthChase is a 751-acre master planned community in New Hanover County just north of Wilmington. The community encompasses 1,200 homes and townhomes and a 260-unit apartment complex. Amenities include over 1 mile of frontage on Interstate 40, where the 200-acre NorthChase Business Park is located. The project is known for its meandering system of landscaped greenways that connects several fishing-friendly ponds. NorthChase kicked off in 1985 and finished most new construction by 1996.
Village at Nags Head
The Village of Nags Head is a 404-acre environmentally friendly resort community in the heart of Nags Head. The “Sound to Sea” community features over 1 mile of frontage on both the Atlantic Ocean and Roanoke Sound, offering a waterfront view from practically every home. Major amenities are the 18-hole challenging Nags Head Golf Links, 5 private parks where all residents have full access to the Atlantic and the Sound, and the elevated Village Beach Club. The community includes 880 homes as well as the Outer Banks Medical Hospital and the Town of Nags Head Municipal Complex. Nags Head is known for architectural styling reflecting the history of the Outer Banks. Attention to detail is evident throughout the community with natural landscaping, progressive land planning to protect the natural dunes, and one of the most environmentally sensitive wastewater systems in North Carolina. The Village of Nags Head kicked off in 1986 and finished most new construction by 1999.
Heritage Wake Forest
Heritage Wake Forest is a 2,260-acre master-planned community in Wake Forest and Rolesville, NC. The community first centered around the 18-hole championship Heritage Golf Course, and amenities today include 4 separate retail centers, a 100-acre business park, a full K-12 public school campus, 2 private schools, and 4 preschools. Heritage encompasses over 2,600 single-family homes and townhomes, along with 3 apartment communities totaling almost 950 units. Heritage is celebrated for thoughtful architecture and landscapes, including stone walls inspired by nearby historic Wake Forest, as well as its extensive sidewalk and greenway systems. Recreation is woven throughout the community design, ranging from the golf course to 2 championship pool complexes, the Smith Creek Soccer Center, and 200 acres of greenway systems along Smith and Dunn Creeks. Among its many awards, Heritage was honored as N.C. Best Community of the Year and Development Company of the year on several occasions. The project kicked off in 2001 and finished most new construction by 2016.
Traditions at Heritage
Traditions is a 930-acre master-planned community in Wake Forest, the follow-up to Heritage Wake Forest. The community builds on Heritage’s vision by providing over 1,300 residential options from apartments to luxury homes overlooking the Wake Forest Reservoir. ADG assembled the land tracts, designed the master plan, and guided it through the municipal planning process. Unlike Heritage, however, ADG then provided smaller, semi-developed parcels to a variety of builder/developer groups so that they could bring to life their own final development and public offerings. Traditions has won many local and state awards through this innovative process. The project kicked off in the late 2000s and anticipates finishing most new construction by 2022.
